King Tut: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh

Prepare to pass through the six gates of the underworld to witness a magnificent display of lavish jewelry embedded with semi-precious stones, a gold "coffinette" holding King Tut’s mummified liver, the diadem found on his mummy, a ceremonial wooden bed with carved lion feet, and over 160 additional antiquities and genuine artifacts from the tomb of the boy king. This immersive exhibit features 3-D scans of items, advance display technology, and additional multimedia components to make this an unforgettable visitor experience.

Touring for a limited time in celebration of the impending 100-year anniversary of the discovery of Tut’s tomb, this exhibit is the largest of its kind. In fact, this may be the last time such a collection will tour as a whole outside Egypt, as many of the items will soon be installed permanently at the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo. King Tut: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh will be on display through January 6, 2019, at the California Science Center. For more information, call (323) 724-3623.
